Now that my TKR (Total Knee Replacement) surgery and rehab are complete, I can get on with planning my upcoming trip to Italy. I have just a few months of summer left to do some important tasks before the trip.

Why are shoes right up there with surgery, rehab and fitness? Because great shoes are essential to a great trip.
Italy is all Stairs
Florence and Rome are very walkable, with glorious sights to see at every turn. Getting my body fit for all those steps and stairs is a high priority as is finding the perfect travel shoes.
In the garden, walking 15-20,000 steps daily, the shoes you wear will determine if you end your day fulfilled or in pain.
The same applies to sight-seeing. It’s hard to focus on another great Italian masterpiece when your back and feet are aching from wearing “cute” shoes all day.
You don’t have to sacrifice cute for comfort!
